Dear Uwe / Property Friends™,

I just had a frightening experience with my mortgage broker. I have been very busy lately and to be honest slack in keeping the property investment ball rolling. I was looking to buy a property for my parents (They're retired on a pension and want to move closer to the grand children) and as pensioners aren't allowed to own more than 1 property so I figured I'd buy another investment property they could move in… sell there own house and look around for something else etc.

Anyhow my broker organised valuations on the Cairns and Geraldton properties and advised me they were worth 400K. Obviously I was upset… hell we paid way more than that… I think nearly 600K… He said no no no… You have $400K of equity between the 2 properties. Needless to say I did a lap of the lounge room with my shirt over my head.

Thanks Guys, what a pleasant surprise we wouldn’t have these choices available to us now with out your help.

I’m still very busy so you'd better go find me a property to invest in.
